Obsession over the scales
Most clients and people interested in weight loss / body
transformation gauge their progress solely by their weight on the
scales which in turn can cause people to finish their fitness journey early due to lack of results or perceived results, as the scales ISN'T usually the best indicator of
progress -- at least not at first.
Below is terrible photo of me in the middle of a gruelling workout, the number on the scales hadn't changed much since returning to training after having Cian, but my strength, energy, moods, and motivation had improved and I was slowly getting my pre baby body back. Their were times where I would hop on the scales and be disappointed that the screen didn't display any improvement or had gone up and a grey smotherining disappointment would develop clouding my motivation.
So I totally get it...when you are making significant lifestyle changes, you want to see results from your efforts. But you need to realise that the scales isn't something you should turn to, to measure your results.
Think of why you started and how much you have achieved along the way so far- for example you can now run 1 km without dying, you are able to perform correctly a push up, pull up, squat, no matter what the exercise is or what it is you have mastered it and you struggled before. These are the things you should use to measure your progress not the number on the scales.
Remember you have overcome obstacles, mastered new habits to become a healthier, fitter happier person - keep going and the number will change but like so many including myself when it does change because you have stopped obsessing over it, it happens without you realising as you are still putting the hard yards in you did at the start.
Dont obsess over the number - Want to transform - push your self, learn new habits, conqueur bad ones and stay motivated to reach those goals. If you feel you don't know what to do to begin the journey id be happy to help just get in touch, we offer online, mobile, group training programs to suit all fitness levels and budgets.

Conquered True GRIT today!!Had to over come all my fears rolled into one event ,heights, cold water and claustrophobia but with Dave by my side no obstacle was going to be avoided.A course 12km long full of miltary based obstacles - from rope climbing, walls to be jumped over, fire pits, farmers walks with sandbags, jerry cans, monkey bars, mud baths, dive boards, pipes to crawl through, nets and wires to climb under, rings to swings off and thats just to name a few. Some obstacles although I tried weren’t conquered but next time I’ll smash them as new fitness goals have been set to conquer weakness. Just remember if it doesn’t challenge you it won’t change you. Test your limits, push yourself out of your comfort zone no matter what it is be it public speaking, fitness goals, new hobbies no matter what it is give it a go! If you don’t give it a go you will never know how strong you really are and if at first you don’t succeed don’t give up create a goal to conquer!!! #goals #fitfam #fithealthyyoufitness #truegrit #fitmum #obstacles #coupleswhoexercisetogether #nolimits #conquer #fears #personaltrainers #outdoortraining #challenges #bestrong #brisbane #brisbanefitness
